People who spend time with X’clusive use words like, “pleasant,” and “respectful.” He takes responsibility for his actions, and apologizes, if appropriate. He is an honor roll student who loves video games and sports. X’clusive is firm about wanting to be adopted with his sibling or at least maintaining close contact with him.

Jonathan

Jonathan is an outgoing young man who lets you know what is on his mind. He is respectful to teachers and other authority figures and is doing well on his IEP. Jonathan is creative; he likes to draw and plans to join his school’s animé club. Jonathan hopes to be adopted by a single mother, or a large, loving family. He wants a prospective family to know that he tries very hard to be respectful. He attends counseling and will do best with parents willing to partner with his service providers.

Andrew

Andrew loves to make people laugh; he enjoys imitating some of the characters he sees in his video games. He also enjoys sports, especially football. Andrew is participating in counseling and medication therapies to better control his behaviors. His ideal family will have experience in working with service providers, and understand the strategies being used to help Andrew manage his own behavior.

Alexander

Alexander is a sweet, rambunctious little boy who likes to run and jump with other children. He takes pride in helping around the house; his favorite job is collecting the trash. He is non-verbal but communicates his needs by using sign language and a speech device. He loves going to school, and especially loves his daily bus ride. Alexander will need a family that can advocate for this many needs, and that is comfortable working with service providers.

Alexander

Like many teen boys, Alex can quickly name his three favorite things: video games, cartoons, and eating – he loves to try new foods. Alex has had a wonderful foster caregiver who has been working with him on behavior, speech and hygiene. At school, he has been doing well with the extra support that he needs. The thing he wants most, though would be a family to call his own as he approaches adulthood.

Ja’Meer

Ja’meer is a busy young man who likes to share his knowledge with adults. He enjoys playing outside, and with any kind of electronic toys. He also loves dogs. Ja’meer meets regularly with a counselor to address his anxiety and past trauma. He would benefit from joining a family that is patient and encouraging.

Kai is in the 7th grade this year. Kai is generally polite and respectful. He loves positive attention and responds well to praise. Kai enjoys helping others and especially looks forward to earning an allowance. Kai loves to be active. He enjoys playing football during the Fall season. He also enjoys exploring his neighborhood and experiencing new activities. Kai enjoys watching TV and looks forward to his video game time. He would do best in a family with a strong support system.

Darr’ion

Darr’ion is a sweet and lovable child who likes watching movies, listening to gospel music, watching cartoons and playing on his iPad. He thrives on affection, consistency, having a regular routine, and earning rewards from a team of experienced caretakers. Darr’ion attends a special school to meet his needs and would do best with a family that has experience in parenting children with behavioral issues and learning delays.

Makhi

Makhi is known for being kind and helpful in his foster home. He is proud that he completes chores and earns an allowance or other rewards. Makhi enjoys playing basketball, riding his bike, and going bowling. He also loves playing video games. He maintains contact with an aunt, and visits with her regularly; his adoptive family is asked to be supportive of that continued relationship. Otherwise, Makhi will benefit from a family that can offer routine and structure.
